Match report. CD Delicias 0 – 0 Ontiñena CF
It was a hot afternoon in Zaragoza, which meant both teams started sluggishly. The Bajo/Baix Cinca side maintained possession and composure, playing a possession-based game in the opposition's half. Gradually, the home team began to create isolated counter-attacks, catching Ontiñena fully committed to attack on more than one occasion, but they couldn't convert their chances. The red and whites lacked the penetration they usually display in other matches, and the first half ended with one opportunity for the home side that failed to find the net.
The second half began with more pace than the first and with the home side showing more determination, putting the visitors' defense under pressure. Both teams created dangerous chances, but neither managed to find the back of the net. Gradually, the game became more stop-start and physical, and the final whistle blew amidst a flurry of fouls.
Following the defeats of Zuera and Robres, Ontiñena CF climbs one position and moves into second place in the standings. Next week they will be visited by Atlético Binéfar, managed by Carlos Delgado, former coach of the Bajocinqueños.
