These and other facts about Mathematics in Real Life will be explained by Ana and Carmen Mayora Cebollero on February 28th.
Both women are mathematicians, professors in the Department of Applied Mathematics and members of the computational dynamics group at the University of Zaragoza, doctoral candidates with an amazing thesis about the application of mathematics in heart disease and neurological diseases.
In his talk, he will introduce classical and artificial intelligence techniques, as well as related concepts, and apply them to biological systems to bring mathematics closer to real life.

“Biological phenomena related to neurons and cardiomyocytes or to insect movement can be described using systems of equations. Classical mathematical techniques allow us to study changes in these phenomena. In recent years, newer artificial intelligence techniques have been applied to perform these analyses as an alternative .”
