The center is resuming this activity and will celebrate the 11th Intercultural Poetry Edition
On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, starting at 6:15 p.m., the 11th Intercultural Poetry Edition will be held at the IES Bajo Cinca in Fraga, a project in which the entire educational community of the Center participates and which is open to all citizens.
This year we've been able to fully resume this project after the hiatus caused by the pandemic, and for this reason we hope it will regain its full momentum and that we can bring together a great group of people who want to share a unique afternoon with us. This year, the objective remains the same as in previous editions: to create a space for community gathering and to present the residents of the region with a small part of the culture of all the people who live here.
Each year our student body changes, and consequently, so does the Intercultural Poetry program. This year we have chosen texts related to nature, and students and teachers will recite poems by more than 15 authors in Catalan, Aragonese, French, English, Turkish, Romanian, Czech, Arabic, and Italian, among other languages. We will also have some musical performances and, finally, a tasting of typical dishes from different countries.
Once again, we intend for the IES Bajo Cinca to become, for a few hours, a space for exchange where, through poetry, we can all learn and share the richness of the different cultures with which we live every day in the region.
The event is open to everyone, so everyone is invited to come and listen or read a poem.
