The Councillor for Agroindustry, Verónica Alins, welcomes the fact that this project is being scaled up with the aim of supporting social and labor integration in partnership with the Virgen del Pilar Association of People with Disabilities.

The Garden of the Senses, run by the Virgen del Pilar Association for People with Disabilities, continues to grow, and the Fraga City Council's Department of Agriculture visited it this Wednesday to see the latest improvements. Over the past year, a greenhouse has been installed, expanding the cultivable space and allowing the association's members to increase the number of plants they use in their occupational workshops.

With this material, which has been acquired thanks to a donation of 2.000 euros from the company Cargill , the association will be able to continue expanding the cultivation of aromatic, culinary, ornamental plants, etc.

In addition, changing rooms have been installed in recent weeks to improve hygiene in this area . The changing rooms are equipped with showers, toilets, and sinks.

“Little by little, and thanks to the joint work of many people, this project is getting bigger, taking on greater dimensions, and expanding the resources of this facility with a very clear objective, which is to continue contributing to the social and labor integration of the users ,” explained the Councilor for Agroindustry, Verónica Alins.

The Garden of the Senses project began in 2020 with the aim of supporting and stimulating the social and labor integration and promoting the participation in the daily life of people with disabilities , as it is a space adapted to the needs of the users of the Fragatina association.
