The athlete from Club Atletismo Fraga crossed the finish line with a time of 2:54:54
Last Saturday, June 8th, the 9th Benasque Mountains Grand Marathon was held in the Aragonese Pyrenees. This race offers three distances: 19K, 28K, and 42K, in both men's and women's categories.
The winner of the intermediate race, the 28-kilometer event, was Sergio Coll (2:54:54) from Fraga, representing the Fraga Athletics Club. Coll was followed across the finish line by Daniel Cremades from Huesca and Juan Pablo Loscertales.
The GMMB is a nationally recognized race that also attracts some international athletes. Coll finished third in the 2023 edition and this time he took first place in his category. This is the first time an athlete from Fraga and the Bajo Cinca club has won this race.
