The Fraga team had a demanding weekend with athletes competing in the under-12, under-10 and under-8 events
The Fraga Swimming Club competed in another round of the League last weekend, March 7th and 8th, with swimmers from various categories participating. The event yielded several outstanding results for the Fraga team, including three new club records and two qualifying times for the Aragon Summer Championships in the children's and junior categories.
Among the most noteworthy results were the three club records achieved during the competition. Martín Lerín set a new best time in the 200-meter butterfly in both the senior and 16-year-old categories. Meanwhile, Iván de Dios established a new club record in the 200-meter breaststroke in the 17-year-old category.
The day also yielded two qualifying times for the Aragon Summer Championships for children and juniors . Oriol Parés achieved the required time in the 50-meter freestyle, while Víctor de Dios achieved the qualifying times in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke events.
Great day for the little swimmers
Alongside this event, on the same Saturday another League meet was held in the youth categories, with the participation of swimmers from the Fraga Swimming Club (ages 10, 10 and 11).
In the junior category, swimmers competed in events such as the 800-meter freestyle and the 50-meter butterfly. In the youngest category, the competition focused on the 200-meter backstroke.
The day also included the participation of the youngest swimmers, who competed in various pool exercises. The club explained that "the youngest members of the team performed a combination of backstroke and breaststroke , as well as two relays: one using their legs and another focusing on skills, which they completed with flying colors, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and a great desire to enjoy swimming."
