Sara Fontán will perform in the La Sierra Forest Park in the Bajo Cinca municipality
This year, the festival organized by the Provincial Council of Huesca will visit three towns in the Bajo/Baix Cinca region: Fraga, Belver de Cinca and Ballobar.
In the shadow of the banks of Ballobar , where the Alcanadre and Cinca rivers meet, lies the urban center of Ballobar, with its imposing medieval bridge and the Church of the Assumption, a transitional church between late Romanesque and Gothic, built on the site of the old mosque.
To fully appreciate the breathtaking landscape, dominated by the Monegros desert and crowned by the Cinca river oasis, it's advisable to climb to the hermitage of San Juan Bautista or La Forza , from where you can see the vertical escarpments of the Ballobar riverbanks. However, our preferred route is to reach the Pinar de la Sierra or La Sierra Forest Park, a wooded oasis with picnic areas, a recreation area, and a spring, where a trail begins that would take us to the Alto de los Sasos (GR-261).
After arriving in Ballobar from Sariñena or Fraga via the A-131, you will need to cross the town along Avenida Autonomía to reach the Sierra Park directly. Alternatively, you can reach the park directly by accessing Ballobar via the HU-V-8601, which branches off the A-2214, halfway between Ontiñena and Candasnos.
The Sara Fontán family (Catalonia)
Staunch advocates of independent music, Los Sara Fontán are a rare breed of anti-industry figures. Three years of constant touring after their formation in 2019, without recording a single song or video, took them across much of Europe and transformed them into a fleeting enigma, turning each concert into a unique and unforgettable ritual, lingering only in the memories of those who experienced it. The experimental duo offered their weapons: a violin, a keyboard, and drums, along with an arsenal of pedals, effects, and other resources, but refused to allow anything to be recorded.
When they decided to record last year, nobody could believe it. All those people who begged them after each concert to take that experience home had won out.
But Queda pendiente isn't a summary of their five years together; it's a true reflection of who Los Sara Fontán are right now. Recorded live, it's a vibrant, contemporary, and powerful album; an exercise in sonic freedom that transforms into a wild celebration in their live shows, where polyrhythms, silences, and sonic pressure make us feel like Los Sara Fontán can do whatever they want with us.
