The Fraga City Council, the Social Services of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region and Cáritas Diocesana Barbastro-Monzón are collaborating on this housing resource for seasonal workers
The Clara Campoamor center concludes this Friday the service it has offered since May to fruit pickers arriving in Fraga without accommodation or employment. A total of 185 people have accessed this housing resource, a collaborative effort between the Fraga City Council, Cáritas Diocesano Barbastro-Monzón, and the Social Services of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region.
This figure highlights the value and usefulness of this municipal social service facility, as it has provided temporary accommodation, as well as advice, information, and basic assistance, to nearly two hundred people with legal status who arrived in the Bajo Cinca region in search of employment. This resource has prevented two hundred people from being homeless this summer and, to some extent, has helped to alleviate a situation that has been entrenched for decades.
The City Council expresses its satisfaction with the collaborative work carried out over these past months with Cáritas Diocesana Barbastro-Monzón and the Social Services of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region. The close collaboration between the three entities has been crucial in developing this project and reaching these 185 people.
