The incident was reported to the Traffic Operations Center of the Civil Guard in Huesca through the 112 SOS Aragón Emergency Room.
At 14:15 p.m. on Monday, August 5, a traffic accident occurred at kilometer marker 30,400 on the A-1213 regional highway (A-131 – A-129), southbound, within the municipality of Lalueza. The accident involved a passenger car leaving the road on the right-hand side and colliding with a concrete culvert. The driver sustained serious injuries.
The injured person was treated at the scene by paramedics from the 061 emergency service and subsequently evacuated and airlifted by helicopter to the Miguel Servet Hospital in Zaragoza. He is a 52-year-old man and a resident of Huesca.
At the scene were a patrol from the Huesca Traffic Detachment, the Road Accident Team (EIS) of the Road Safety Investigation Unit (UNIS) of the Huesca Civil Guard Traffic Subsector, a Citizen Security patrol from the Lanaja Civil Guard, a fire crew and 061 emergency health services.
The Traffic Division of the Civil Guard, based in Fraga, is investigating the possible causes of the accident.
