The CRA “Albeos” in Belver de Cinca is changing its pavement thanks to the Rural Schools Plan

The president of the Provincial Council, Isaac Claver, visited the works accompanied by the deputy for general affairs, María José Vicente, and the mayor of Belver de Cinca, Javier Carrasquer.

The work, which is already underway, will be completed by the end of August . Following its completion, the Belver de Cinca town council will paint the area where the work has been carried out and will perform the necessary cleaning so that the school, which has over 100 students, can begin the academic year with these improvements in September.

The Rural Schools Plan, a joint effort between the Provincial Council of Huesca and the Government of Aragon, is funding this work, which will cost 35.000 euros and will improve 250 square meters of the floor, currently in poor condition, of the CRA “Albeos”.

Rural Schools Plan

At the end of May, the Provincial Council of Huesca (DPH) and the Government of Aragon (DGA) signed a four-year agreement that increases funding for rural schools by 67 percent. The combined annual contribution from both institutions has risen from €600.000 to €1 million. Each institution will now invest €500.000 annually instead of €300.000, with the aim of financing educational projects in towns, villages, and villages of all sizes, thus providing the highest possible quality education in rural areas. Thanks to this agreement, a total of 20 projects (18 percent more than in 2023) will be supported in the province of Huesca.
