From April 15th to 19th, the educational center will host the first phase of “Children in the Climate Crisis”
The Santa Ana school in Fraga will host the first phase of this European project, part of the Erasmus+ program and organized by Börn University. It will bring together students and experts from six countries (Germany, Spain, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, and Poland) to investigate crucial issues such as rising temperatures and CO2 levels in various European cities.
The project aims to gather data and find solutions to help us combat climate change, and a report with the results and recommendations will be published at the end of the project in 2027. Our school was chosen to launch this project by chance; it is due to our experience and success in managing previous Erasmus+ projects.
During the visit, the 55 participants will carry out various research activities, including measuring the CO2 level in Fraga, Zaragoza and Barcelona, as well as visits to important centers such as the air quality measurement station in Bujaraloz (Zaragoza) and the environmental education classroom in Zaragoza.
The Santa Ana School in Fraga emphasizes that this event is not only important for the school and the participants, but also has significant value at a European level in the fight against climate change.
