The players from the Bajo Cinca team have won both matches played so far
Benfica of Portugal, Vila-Sana, and Fraga are in the same qualifying group. In this first round, Fraga has won both matches against their rivals. Benfica defeated Vila-Sana, while the Catalan players have yet to win a match.
In the match this Saturday, January 27th, the Vila-Sana players took an early lead with a 1-0 goal by María Porta. Before halftime, Vinyet Flix equalized for the team coached by Jordi Capdevila. In the second half, Vila-Sana dominated possession but failed to find the net. Aina Arxé did manage to score for Esneca Fraga just over a minute later, converting a penalty after the home goalkeeper parried the initial shot.
Club Patín Fraga leads its group with 6 points. In the second phase, they will host Vila-Sana on February 10th, and in March they will travel to Portugal for their second match against Benfica. The top two teams in the group will qualify, so the Fraga club is close to reaching the quarterfinals of the Women's Roller Hockey Champions League for the first time in its short history.
