Fraga's team will need to win by more than one goal in the return leg, which will take place on April 6th at Sotet, in order to continue in the European competition.
Esneca Skating Club suffered defeat in the first quarter-final match of the Women's WSE Champions. The Aragonese team lost their away game against Roller Matera (Italy) in a close match that ultimately went to the home side, resulting in a 3-2 victory.
For Roler Matera, the goals were scored by Francesca Maniero (1-0, min. 13) and Berta Tarrida (2-1, min. 33). Club Patín Fraga's goals were scored by Adriana Soto (1-1, min. 25) and Joana Xicota (2-2, min. 34).
The Fragatinas have the opportunity to advance to the next phase of the competition in the return match, which will be played on April 6 at the Sotet Pavilion, if they manage to win by more than one goal against their rival.
The other three matches of the first leg of the quarter-finals were played last Saturday and resulted in victories for Generali Palau against Martinelia Manlleu (1-3), Telecable Gijón against Vilasana (2-3) and Coruña against the Portuguese Astro Stuart Massama (0-2).
