The club's objective is to form five youth teams, one more than last season, adding the cadet category to the under-10, under-12, under-14 and under-18 categories that have been competing during the season
CD Mequinenza played this season in the Regional Preferente league and finished in 16th place with 25 points, placing them in the relegation zone along with Chiprana, Fleta, and Villa de Alagón. However, it's not all bad news for the team from the estuaries. Next season, they will finally say goodbye to the dirt pitch and will be able to play their matches on artificial turf.
Meanwhile, the youth football section of Mequinenza Club Deportivo has begun preparations for the upcoming season. Registration is now open for the addition of a new team, the cadet team, joining the existing teams in the under-10, under-12, under-14, and under-18 categories.
Last season they had a total of 65 players across the various competing teams and hope to increase that number by adding a new team in the cadet category.
