This weekend, the Cortes de Aragón pavilion in Fraga hosted top-level boys' cadet basketball, culminating in the Catalan Championship final . Barça B faced Manresa in the final, with Barça emerging victorious. CB Juventut de Badalona 2 took third place, and Mataró finished fourth.
Victor Español, team coordinator for CB Peña Fragatina, highlighted the importance of hosting this competition in the capital of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region. The pavilion was packed on both days of matches, Saturday and Sunday, with a great atmosphere, and many boys and girls from the Peña Fragatina basketball school, along with parents and fans, enjoyed the games.
David Casanova, the sports councilor for the Fraga City Council, thanked CB Peña Fragatina and the Catalan Basketball Federation for their work and coordination in organizing this competition in the city. " Today we are seeing great players from some of the best youth teams in Catalonia. I'm sure we'll see some of these youngsters in the ACB league in a few years ," he concluded.
