The municipal corporation welcomed the Fraga team that has been proclaimed league champion in the 2025/26 season
The Fraga City Council paid tribute this Tuesday to Unión Deportiva Fraga after the Fraga team was proclaimed champion of the First Regional Preferente and achieved promotion to the Third Division, a sporting success that returns the club to a national category and that has been celebrated throughout the city.
The official reception took place in the town hall's plenary hall, where the mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, accompanied by members of the municipal council, welcomed the players, coaching staff, and representatives of the club. During the event, the team displayed the trophy that recognizes their league championship, culminating a historic season for the red-and-white club.
Gramún congratulated the squad and highlighted the work done throughout the season to achieve promotion. “This promotion wasn't a stroke of luck; it was a matter of effort, perseverance, and teamwork,” the mayor stated, praising the commitment shown by the club both on and off the field.
