The work consists of improving the electrical installation and lighting of the premises
The council of the capital of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region has commissioned the works of disconnection, removal, placement of lighting, sockets, light points and power supply, which represent the necessary works for the adaptation of the electrical installation and lighting of the premises located in Casa Cota, owned by the Fraga City Council itself.
Initially, this project appears to be the start of the renovation of the ground-floor premises for a future recreational and social use, the details of which have not yet been specified. The Fraga town council has allocated €4.504,33 to these works.
Casa Cota was acquired by the Fraga City Council nearly 20 years ago, but no significant work has been carried out since then. At the end of 2019, an inspection was conducted, and cleaning and sanitation work was undertaken, including pumping out stagnant water from inside, to preserve the building. Some windows were also sealed to prevent pigeons and other birds from nesting inside the building or cats from entering Casa Cota.
These works seem to indicate the beginning of a possible future use for this legendary house in the Historic Quarter of Fraga.
