During storms, leaks occur that have damaged electronic equipment on the second floor.
The Fraga City Council has put out to tender the rehabilitation of the roof of the municipal building for €175.000 (VAT included) due to problems caused during storms. The deadline for submitting bids is June 19th.
The roof needs to be replaced because there is currently an internal rainwater collection channel that becomes clogged during storms. These blockages have led to leaks on the second floor, occasionally damaging electronic equipment in the National Police's ID card issuance office.
This project will improve the roof's support structure with reinforced metal beams and a concrete compression layer. Thermal insulation, currently lacking, will also be installed to prevent heat loss and improve the efficiency and energy consumption of the heating and cooling systems.
