The City Council will have seven more months, beyond the deadline set in the application and granting of the subsidy, to complete the works of the future auditorium and retain the aid of 724.000 euros
The Fraga City Council received approval this Wednesday from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda to extend the deadline for submitting supporting documentation for the comprehensive renovation project of the Florida Hall as a multipurpose auditorium. Following this notification, the City Council now has seven more months—starting from September 30, 2024—to complete the renovations and maintain the grant of €724.000.
The mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, celebrated the news and expressed his satisfaction with the work being done by the City Council's Urban Planning department, stating that "thanks to everyone's efforts, we will be able to carry out a project of great importance for the cultural life of our city."
For her part, the Councillor for Urban Planning, Esther Rubio, explained that, “from the first moment we knew that it was impossible to carry out the work within the established deadlines, we started working to find a solution and try to get the Ministry to approve our request for an extension.”
Furthermore, Rubio assured that, “despite this extension, which is undoubtedly great news, we cannot relax and we must continue working with the same dedication and commitment that we have maintained until now.”
