Officers from the Fraga Civil Guard station have arrested one person for six counts of theft from inside vehicles in the town of Fraga.
The detainee, a 33-year-old man, had a record for similar offenses.
Agents from the Fraga Civil Guard station proceeded on January 24 to arrest a 33-year-old man and resident of Fraga, for six crimes of theft with force inside vehicles.
Early Thursday morning, January 24th, the Civil Guard received reports of vehicle break-ins at various locations in the town of Fraga, affecting a total of six vehicles. Upon receiving these reports from the public, officers on duty arrived at the scene and confirmed that the perpetrator had used a blunt object to smash the vehicle windows, stealing the belongings from inside the vehicles.
Initial inquiries by the Civil Guard in Fraga revealed that the perpetrator had suffered injuries during one of his robberies, which aided the investigation being conducted by officers from the Fraga station.
Thanks to citizen cooperation, the information provided by the victims in their report to the Civil Guard, and the weight of the evidence gathered during the investigation, it was possible to quickly identify the perpetrator. In less than 24 hours, in conjunction with the Local Police, a 33-year-old man from Fraga was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the aforementioned crimes. This suspect had a prior record for similar offenses.
The proceedings conducted by the Civil Guard station in Fraga were handed over to the Fraga Court of Instruction No. 1, and the accused was released with precautionary measures.
