A patient from Fraga has filed a complaint against the Fraga Health Center for medical negligence. According to the woman's husband, they went to the Emergency Room with severe pain and irritation in one eye. Two days later, they returned to the center because the pain persisted and had worsened. This time, they were diagnosed with conjunctivitis and referred to the hospital in Barbastro.
According to the complainants, at the Somontano health center they were told that the patient was suffering from acute glaucoma and required emergency surgery. The woman underwent surgery twice and has ultimately lost 70% of the vision in one eye. The family has filed a complaint because they believe there was negligence on the part of the staff at the Fraga health center, since " if they had seen that things weren't right and sent us to Barbastro sooner, the damage would have been much less ," the patient's husband stated.
On the other hand, they wanted to thank the Ophthalmology section of the Barbastro hospital for their care, " since thanks to the doctor who took charge of the case, they were able to save their eye, although with very little vision ."
