The regional entity will train 10 unemployed people in social and healthcare assistance to people at home and in institutions, through the new Experiential Employment and Training Program
Starting Monday, January 15, 2024, and continuing for a year, students in the new "Acompañad@s" Experiential Employment and Training Program will receive theoretical and practical training from the Bajo/Baix Cinca region, enabling them to obtain the corresponding professional certificates upon completion of the program.
These projects, formerly known as Employment Workshops, aim to improve the job prospects of participating unemployed individuals by combining training with practical experience. The Bajo/Baix Cinca region has been running Employment Workshops focused on social and healthcare services since 2016, achieving a high rate of job placement.
The participating students have been employed by the regional entity since the project's inception under a work-study contract, thanks to funding from the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy (SEPE) and the Government of Aragon, through the Aragonese Employment Institute (INAEM). The project lasts 12 months, totaling 1.800 training hours, and is subsidized with €274.143,10.
On the second day, the students received a visit from the president of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region, José Javier Ferrer, and the councilor for economic and local development, commerce, employment and training, José María Algueró, who welcomed them and highlighted the importance of these projects.
The previous program, Orienta-2, which began on February 14 of last year, will end in the middle of next February, so both programs coincide in their development for almost a month, with the consequent organizational effort of start, end and justification for the entity.
