The Esneca girls beat Telecable HC 5-2 in the first match played at the Sotet Pavilion
Esneca Fraga Roller Hockey Club has taken the first step towards winning the Iberdrola League by winning the first semifinal match. Jordi Capdevila 's team defeated Telecable HC 5-2 at the El Sotet Pavilion in Fraga, the capital of the Baix Cinca region.
The first half was very evenly matched between the two teams. The score remained unchanged until the final seven minutes, when Rebeca González scored after a great team move. However, Sara Roces equalized four minutes before halftime.
In the second half, Telecable HC took the lead with another goal from Sara Roces . But just a few minutes later, Rebeca González scored the second goal with a powerful shot, although it ended up in the net after deflecting off an opposing player. From then on, Club Patín Fraga took control and scored three more goals through María Sanjurjo, Vinyet Flix, and Rebeca González again , ending the match with a 5-2 scoreline.
The next match will be in Asturias on Friday, May 31st. In case of a tie, a third match will be played, also at the Telecable court. The winning team will advance to the final. Their opponent will be decided in the other playoff between Palau de Plegamans and Vila-Sana.
