With futsal suspended due to the complete suspension of all competition in Catalonia, all football attention has focused on 11-a-side football teams.
Regional preferred
The regional league fixtures produced the same result for UD Fraga and Ontiñena: both played away and finished 0-0. Fraga failed to secure three points at Borja's ground (who, incidentally, have been one of the strongest teams in the last month), and Román Panadero's men didn't come away victorious from Mallén. So, it's time to focus on the next match.
First Regional
Looking back to last Friday's preview , we had two very specific points of interest this weekend in the regional first division. The first, of course, was the local derby between Peña Fragatina and CD Belver . The result? A 2-2 draw, and everyone's on good terms, in a match where both teams took the lead at different stages of the game.
Second point of interest: to see how Mequinenza fared with the change of manager (even though they're still in interim mode). And it went quite well: a 2-1 victory against Valfonda , and moreover, they came from behind, as the home side took the lead in the 33rd minute, but Stegherr and Aldabo turned the game around and secured the three points.
The third point of interest was the Fraga B match , which ended in victory, much to the delight of the local fans. They beat Juventud de Almudévar 1-0 with a lone goal from Iker Grau.
First Regional Women's Team
Regarding Fraga's women's team's debut in the Federation Cup , there's little to report. Things are much the same as when the matches were part of the regular league. This opening weekend, the Fraga side cruised to a 10-0 victory over San Gregorio Arrabal, who are surely having nightmares about the team from the Bajo Cinca region.
Second Regional
As for the matches in the second regional division, there wasn't much to report. Zaidín couldn't overcome Binaced and lost by the narrowest of margins (1-0), while Osso de Cinca had to settle for a goalless draw at home against Atlético Monzón. These results, however, don't significantly complicate their progress in the competition.
