The Bajo/Baix Cinca region has launched a commemorative stamp for the 25th International Descent of the Cinca through Correos España (Spanish Postal Service), a sporting event that will take place on August 25th and will bring together a large number of canoeists, both professional and amateur, in the waters of the Cinca River as it passes through the towns of Fraga, Torrente de Cinca and Mequinenza.
To boost the competition's visibility, an advertising campaign has also been launched, consisting of a promotional video that will be shown on screens located in various post offices in the autonomous communities of Valencia, Catalonia, Aragon, and Navarre. The aim of this campaign is to reach the widest possible audience and increase the competition's visibility.
The president of the region, José Javier Ferrer, emphasized that the commemorative stamp for the 25th International Descent of the Cinca River is a "symbol" of the importance of this sporting event for the region and for Aragon. "The Descent of the Cinca is one of the most important sporting events of the year in our autonomous community and a major tourist attraction for the region," he stated.
Ferrer took the opportunity to remind everyone that registration for the popular Cinca Descent is still open. "We encourage all canoeing enthusiasts to register and enjoy this unique experience."
Inma Bayona, director of the Fraga Post Office, indicated that this is a very different initiative and that the Fraga office decided to support it, because, according to Bayona, "it will give a lot of visibility to the event."
