The Bajo/Baix Cinca region has acquired a new urban waste collection truck with an investment of €286.165. The vehicle, which is already operational, will improve the efficiency and quality of service in the region's municipalities. The contract for the truck was awarded to Recolectores Urbanos de Alquiler SL for €236.500, plus €49.665 in VAT.
The new truck is a 19 m³ rear-loading compactor, equipped with the latest technologies to optimize waste collection. It features an electronic weighing system that records the weight of the collected waste, as well as a GPS tracking system that allows for real-time vehicle monitoring. In addition, it has a two-way communication system with the container tags, enabling optimized collection routes and improved service efficiency.
The acquisition of this new truck represents a significant investment for the regional authority, demonstrating its commitment to improving urban waste management. The president of the regional authority, José Javier Ferrer, emphasized that "this investment is essential to improving the quality of service we provide to our citizens."
For his part, the councilor for waste and the environment, Javier Ibarz, stated that the acquisition of this new truck "is a step forward in the management of urban waste in the region." Ibarz explained that the vehicle "will allow for the optimization of collection routes and improve the efficiency of the service."
