The different teams of the Fraga club are achieving positive results in all their categories, but with a special prominence of the inter-district team.
Club Pádel Fraga enjoyed a truly positive weekend across its various competitions, with outstanding results in both the Inter-district League and the Aragonese Third Division . The weekend concluded with a victory for the senior team, a draw for the junior team, a resounding win for the women's team, and an important victory for the federated team in their away match in Huesca.
What happened in the Inter-district League?
In the Inter-district League, the women's team delivered a solid performance, defeating Bruixas Jaca 3-0 at the Fraga Sports Complex and securing all four points. Lucía Pasamán and Silvia Tejedor won their match convincingly against Nicolás and Paloma 6-0, 6-1, while Laura Bagué and newcomer Andrea Campoy overcame Navarro and Berceo 6-1, 6-1.
The third point came after a much closer match. Leyre Arenillas, alongside Elena Rodríguez—who was returning from injury —defeated Casillas and Rosel 6-3, 7-5, in a match decided by Arenillas' consistency and Rodríguez's competitive spirit. With this result, the women's team moves into third place in the standings.
In the men's inter-district category, the senior team achieved a 2-0 victory against AX Pádel Barbastro , while the junior team drew against Fitopádel de Graus in a demanding match.
Results in the federated league for the Fraga Padel Club
The day concluded with the team's trip to the Indoor Huesca Ambar court for a direct clash for third place. The tie began with a defeat for Adrián Peña and Héctor Coellados against Ramos and Peruga, 7-6, 6-3. The comeback came in the second match, where Bogdan Bucinschi and Mateo Virzi rallied after losing the first set to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 against Labarta and Cuartero.
The decisive point was decided in a very close match. Cristian Bucinschi and Álex Ruiz secured the victory after numerous lead changes, saving match points and closing out the duel 6/4, 6/7 and 7/5 to establish the final 1-2 score.
With this result, the federated team consolidates its third position and is three points away from the promotion places before hosting Pádel House Utebo this Saturday, April 25th at the Ciudad del Deporte.
