The City Council and Peña Fragatina are organizing this heartwarming event as part of the first events of the Festive Prelude.

The city of Fraga experienced one of the most moving and participatory moments of the pre-festival celebrations this Saturday morning with the presentation of the first orange scarves to babies born between October 13, 2025, and October 12 of this year. A total of 67 babies participated in the "My First Pilar" activity , surpassing the number from 2025, when 57 orange scarves were awarded.

The City Hall's Plenary Hall hosted this event, which celebrated its third edition this year and is now a firmly established part of the program for the Fiestas del Pilar 2026 festivities. This event, attended by Mayor Ignacio Gramún, Councilor for Festivals Mapi Aquilué, Councilor for Transport Óscar Gracia, and Alma Montull, a member of the Peña Fragatina board, aims to integrate the youngest members of the community into the spirit of the celebrations honoring the Virgin of Pilar.

Aquilué highlighted the overwhelming response to the event, noting that “seeing the hall filled with excitement, with over 60 participants receiving their first neckerchief, is clear evidence of how the Pilar festivities are celebrated in Fraga from a very young age.” She also emphasized that “this heartwarming event within the festive prelude is the best way to kick off the celebrations and involve the youngest members of our community and the younger generations in the spirit and pride of our patron saint festivities.”
