The club announced this in a brief statement on its social media channels, confirming that the Catalan Basketball Federation had granted them a place in the division following the withdrawal of one of the teams that had been eligible to participate.
Thus, the Fraga club gains promotion to the Second Catalan Division after finishing last season in third place in the lower tier. According to the club, this performance was decisive in securing their place in the league.
The new category will mean CB Peña Fragatina will face teams from the provinces of Lleida, Tarragona, and Barcelona. However, the club is still waiting to find out which group it will be placed in, information that will be communicated soon after it is confirmed by the federation.
