Several media outlets have reported on the news that was first reported this morning by the online newspaper HOY ARAGÓN , regarding the cancellation of the construction of the factory that the multinational Becton Dickinson was building in Zaragoza.
The works were 80% complete and 35 workers had already been on site since February. The Fraga plant, in principle, will not be affected by this decision.
This cancellation is due to a decision that Becton Dickinson describes as strategic, as they believe that using other existing facilities can be more efficient than opening a new plant in Zaragoza, according to reports published in several regional newspapers.
The large-scale project had been declared of regional interest by the Government of Aragon and had also been included in the PIGA (Aragon Infrastructure Plan) . It remains to be seen whether this decision will have any legal implications.
