The mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, has published a proclamation for the upcoming celebration of the bonfires of San Antón.
Through this document, the mayor makes it known that, according to article 145 of Title VII of the Ordinance on Citizen Security and Coexistence of the City of Fraga, in relation to bonfires and campfires, except in the case of celebrations or popular festivals, promoted by the City Council, groups or associations of neighbors and having the corresponding municipal authorization in accordance with current regulations, it is prohibited to light bonfires and campfires in the roads and public spaces of the municipality.
Therefore, on paved public roads, it will be necessary to place sand beforehand to prevent damage to the pavement and personal accidents. Furthermore, bonfires must be placed in locations that do not obstruct the free movement of vehicles and pedestrians, and once the activity is over, the ashes and any other type of waste generated during the celebration around the bonfire must be removed within twelve hours of its lighting.
