The mayor of Fraga, Ignacio Gramún, the festivities technician, Cristina Canales, and the creator of the work, Noemí Ruiz López, present 'Vibrating in the wait'
The poster for the 2025 Pilar Festival in Fraga was unveiled this morning at an event held in the Town Hall's plenary hall. The event was attended by the mayor, Ignacio Gramún, the Festivals Officer, Cristina Canales, and the winning poster's artist, Noemí Ruiz López.
The selected artwork, titled "Vibrating in Waiting ," has won the competition to choose the image that will represent this year's celebrations. A total of 19 entries were submitted , and the winning poster received a prize of 750 euros.
The author, Noemí Ruiz, from Torrente de Cinca, explained that "she intends to highlight those representative moments of the Pilar Festival : the firework display, the Rondalla, which is so important and gives us so much cultural value, the bullfights, the children's bullfights and that moment of fireworks that puts the finishing touch on the festivities."
Noemí Ruiz thanked “the City Council and the jury for giving me the opportunity to design this year's poster,” and commented that “I come to the Pilar Festival every year, so I was very clear about what I wanted to express.” “It's a poster that's very much ours and very much from here ,” she added.
During the presentation, Mayor Ignacio Gramún celebrated “that someone from the region won, because this also means that the Pilar Festival isn't just for the residents of Fraga, but that the Pilar Festival also integrates and welcomes the other municipalities in the region .” Gramún, after congratulating the poster's creator, emphasized that “the poster captures some of the most significant moments of the festival, and the silhouette of the Virgin of Pilar, which is one of the most important symbols we have in our city and to which we have great devotion .”
Finally, Cristina Canales confirmed that this year's competition, with 19 posters, has "broken the record for poster submissions in the history of the contest." "We're thrilled because, in the last 21 years, the poster has only been designed by a local artist five or six times ; the rest have always been from elsewhere," said Canales, who recalled that "last year it was a young woman from Fraga, and this year it's someone from Torrente de Cinca."

- 1 from Balaguer (Lleida)
The submitted posters will be on display from October 3rd to 20th in the lobby of the Montcada Palace . The winning entry will become the property of the Fraga City Council, and the rest can be collected during the month of November at the Youth Center.
