To mark the 30th anniversary of the Huesca Association for Mental Health: ASAPME Huesca, and the inauguration of the Mental Health Day Center in Fraga, this exhibition has been held in the Montcada Palace in the capital of the Bajo/Baix Cinca region.
At ASAPME Huesca, they believe that creativity and art are a valid therapeutic tool for addressing the problem of mental illness, because they allow people to express and reflect feelings, and provide a path to inclusion.
The works on display were created in the entity's Painting Workshop, a space where creativity and imagination are developed, understanding painting as a way to express feelings and emotions, which are of great help for psychosocial rehabilitation.
This exhibition is an excellent opportunity to showcase the work done in the workshop and to raise awareness of our Association in more rural areas of the province of Huesca.
We also explain what we do and raise awareness about mental illness in order to gradually work towards destigmatizing this group.
The exhibition “ASAPME HUESCA: 30 years Painting the Future” can be visited from June 11th to 24th in the exhibition hall of the Montcada Palace from Tuesday to Sunday from 17pm to 20pm.
The exhibition will close on Monday, June 24th at 12:30 pm in the same Montcada Palace , coinciding with the 30th Anniversary of ASAPME Huesca.
