The Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce has promoted the creation of a regional cluster to propel the sector towards industrialization
The Aragon Construction Cluster aims to be a meeting point and a platform for collaboration among companies in the sector, promoting innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability in construction in the region. It seeks to generate synergies among companies, promote the training and qualification of professionals in the sector, and foster the internationalization of Aragonese construction companies .
Taking advantage of last week's Bajo/Baix Cinca Business Meeting , we asked Sergio Agustín , a technical architect from Fraga , about the details of this new cluster that was presented at the beginning of the month in Zaragoza.
As Agustín tells us, industrialization is key to achieving greater viability in the sector , both for companies and end customers. One of the reasons for creating this cluster is the support these organizations receive at the European level, giving them greater prominence than traditional business associations.
Sergio Agustín is clear that the Bajo/Baix Cinca region and the province of Huesca must be represented in the cluster to defend and maintain the visibility and professionalism of our territory within the sector. Therefore, he values the initial steps taken and hopes that this project will serve to drive improvements through more efficient processes.
For now, the project is progressing well, with initial meetings and workshops held in Zaragoza and a survey conducted within the various branches of the construction industry. By the end of the month, initial conclusions are expected , which will allow for further progress in creating the cluster and positioning Aragonese construction as a national and international benchmark.
