The 112 SOS Aragón Emergency Room informed the Traffic Operations Center of the Civil Guard in Huesca that at 11:58 a.m. today, a traffic accident occurred at kilometer marker 21,800 of the A-131 highway (Fraga – Huesca), northbound, within the municipality of Chalamera. The accident involved a head-on collision between a passenger car and an articulated vehicle.
As a result of the accident, one person has died. The deceased is an 81-year-old man, a resident of Barcelona. The body has been taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Zaragoza. The right lane was closed, and traffic was diverted through the town of Chalamera.
A motorcycle patrol from the Fraga Traffic Detachment of the Civil Guard, the Huesca Traffic Civil Guard Accident Investigation Team, a fire crew, and 061 health services have arrived at the scene. The Huesca Traffic Civil Guard Accident Investigation Team is investigating the possible causes of the accident.
