The event, which is non-competitive and open to cyclists of all ages, will be held on Sunday, September 13.
The Mequinenza Cycling Club has opened registration for the 29th Annual Bike Day , which will take place next Sunday, September 13th, starting from the Town Hall Square at 10:00 AM. Under the slogan "Pre-Holy Week" Mequinenza , the event will follow its traditional route to the Aubera Fishermen's Refuge before returning to the Town Hall Square.
Registration is open until September 10th and can be done through the Mequinenza Cycling Club website for €4, or in person on Saturday, September 12th for €6. In the latter case, a national identity card (DNI) will be required. The organizers remind participants that no registrations will be accepted on the day of the event and that the commemorative t-shirt is not guaranteed for in-person registrations.
Registration includes accident insurance, lunch, medical assistance, a support vehicle, and a gift for all participants , in addition to the option of competing for the various prizes and awards planned throughout the day.
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with participants gathering in the Town Hall Square . The race will start at 10:00 a.m., and the group is expected to arrive at the Fishermen's Refuge at approximately 11:00 a.m., where refreshments will be provided. The return journey will begin around 11:45 a.m., with the group expected to arrive back at the Town Hall Square at 12:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place at 12:45 p.m.
This non-competitive sporting event, open to all ages , has a strong family focus and aims to promote healthy habits, community, and cycling. Helmet use will be mandatory for all participants.
As is tradition, the day will also feature different awards, including those for the youngest and oldest participants , both male and female, as well as the prize for the most original bicycle , the best group costume (with a minimum of four people), and the largest group.
With this twenty-ninth edition, Bike Day once again becomes one of the sporting and family events on the Mequinenza calendar, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a morning on two wheels and in good company.
