This Sunday, April 28th, the 3rd San Salvador Trail was held in Torrente de Cinca , an event organized by the Torrente de Cinca City Council, the Bikerun Club of Torrente de Cinca and the Bajo/Baix Cinca Region.
The final event of the II Bajo/Baix Cinca Trail Cup brought together one hundred runners who competed for first place in two courses: one of more than 19 kilometers and another of more than 10 kilometers.
The race started at 9:00 a.m. under pleasant temperatures and without rain. The race proceeded without incident or any dropouts. Before 10:00 a.m., Andrés Zapater, the first participant in the short course, crossed the finish line, breaking the event record. Following him were the other runners in the short course, with Sara Herraiz finishing first among the women. At 10:23 a.m., Daniel Cremades crossed the finish line as the first finisher in the long course, successfully defending his title. María Delgado from Biscay finished first in the women's race at 10:44 a.m.
It is worth highlighting the excellent organization, the large number of volunteers, services and attention given to all participants.
In the overall standings for the long route, Mario Mirón of Biofrutal Sport and Yolanda Freixa of Running Alcañiz were crowned champions of the II Bajo/Baix Cinca Trail Cup. Meanwhile, César Mur of Peña Pómez Barbastro and Ana Villanova of CA Fraga Bajo Cinca took first place in the short route.
At the end of the awards ceremony, a raffle was held for gifts offered by the sponsors, which was the final point of the sporting event.
